Gypsy love @ the Kumbh 2015

What better place to inaugurate my part-gypsy part-punk blouse (made out of 80 year old threads found hidden under a big pile of musty clothes at a gypsy junkyard) than the good ol’ Kumbh- that ultimate destination for nomads! After hours of relentless searching, this faded folkloric beauty in pale pink landed in my lap and it was truly love at first sight. The tattered back and the holey front told tales from days long past and left me determined to salvage whatever I could of it and make it forever mine. And so I did: got the holes fixed, gave it a new punked up back, and added some folksy halter strings to celebrate its gypsiness.
